The Book of Job is one of the most fascinating texts in the Hebrew canon and world literature. It’s a story about loss, pain, faith, betrayal, rebellion (against God…) and repentance. Fundamentally, in my eyes it’s a very mysterious book. As a result, my goal is twofold: (1) to stress the book’s core enigma; and (2) to see whether Job’s drama can help us, today, come to terms with unexplainable suffering and death.
